Our Story
The founder of GCS, Gil Galang has been actively working in the field of engineering since he graduated from Lakehead University as a mechanical engineer and became a licensed member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) since 1986.
In his professional career, his competency and drive quickly lead him to hold lead roles and become partners within the companies he became involved with. He has worked as a consultant, designer and project manager on projects all over Canada, including pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, office spaces and art galleries.
He is an active member of several engineering organizations such as the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE), where he is involved with the Political Action Network. He is also a member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), the American Society of Heating,Refrigeration and Air Conditions Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Environmental Engineers & Managers Institute (EEMI).
He has been a mentor to junior engineers for over 25 years and has been a guest speaker at several engineering conferences through the clients of the successful projects he has worked on. His attitude and commitment to delivering his promises to clients on a wide variety of projects has given him the experiences and skillsets to thrive as president and founder of his own engineering consulting firm, Galang Consulting Services for the last six years.
